Is it worth it?
This should probably go in the gun comparisons page, but i knew if I did put it there, I would get a very biased answer.(you know how they all feel about mags )
But anyway, I have been looking at getting a devil mag for some time now. I have always wanted a mag, and with it being electronic, makes it that much more tempting. Basically, is it a good gun for the money? It would be $900 new, since ive never saw any for sale. But is it worth every penny or would it be wiser to get something else, thats used and cheaper.(used timmy, shocka, trix blah blah blah)
Ty guys.

Yeah its worth it. Its unique, fast, light, customizable.
Its uncapped, which means as fast as you pull, it will shoot.
It can't chop. It has eyes, AND a level 10 bolt, and both do an EXCELLENT job at preventing chops.
For the price you could get say, a proto trix for 7-800 and you can probably still shoot it just as fast.
Do you want to take the blue pill or the red? Becuase it really comes down to that.

What I'm saying is- Mags aren't the best. I mean they ARE, but not in every aspect and every condition.
However, would I choose a mag over ANY other paintball marker? Yes.

I agree with Alpha. Lets say a Devilmag is the red pill. Lets say the blue pill is another medium-high end gun.
Red pill-Around $900, long long LONG LONG LONG wait, but still a great gun.
Blue pill-Can be a few hundred less than $900, and is avaiable right away, also a great gun.
The devilmag would be worth it...in the long run if you love mags. If not, I suggest getting a proto or something like alpha suggested.

Not even what I meant. If you choose a mag, your not choosing it because its the fastest, most technologically advanced marker. Mags aren't really anything great.

Even being the mag enthusiast that I am.... proto>devil mag.
Mags are easily the best mechanical markers for several reasons... but they don't really measure up on the electro playing field.

you guys make some weird claims...
"If you choose a mag, your not choosing it because its the fastest, most technologically advanced marker. Mags aren't really anything great." - Alpha
well with 5.0 pred software, i believe you have a technologically advanced marker. once youspend over 700 you are looking for-
no chops
consistant
low maintence
low weight (most people)
speed
Bassically, something that will get the ball outta the barrel correctly, and the right software to go with the package.
Well, the mag can get the ball outta the barrel and checks off on every other thing on the list. and add in the devilmag upgrade then the speed, chopping (lvl10 and laser break beam eyes), and weight (if your going from an e-mag or such) become better.
The proto does also the same things, but doesn't so as well, or as bad in some areas, but its get the freakin little ball out the barrel.
as far as recent/old technology goes, its hard to find any gun that is made being based off of something recent anyway.
also alpha, didn't mean to single you out... it just means your important! lol
