Is an E-mag worth the extra $$$ ???
I am looking to get back into the game. I have decided I want a mag, possibly a Tac-one, but, what exactly makes the E-mag better, if anything??? From what I understand a regular mechanical Mag achieves pretty impressive rates of fire, with no chop (level 10)...........so , anyone, please enlighten me...I am already sure the trigger pull would be lighter , but what else ???? And what modes of fire does the E-mag offer???

Mech mags can go pretty fast, but most of the time its not legal, and the trigger is still a 2-3mm pull, and is just under a pound (although you can walk it [some people claim you can't, I guess if you have sausage fingers you can't, but I can walk mine fine], it is pretty slow still)
E-mag frames work much like how an e-spyder would, although the e-mag frame is faster (spyders have a 13bps cap,a nd rocking triggers are awkward/illegal in tourneys)
E-mag offers (I believe) burst and auto. You can get it flashed to have the latest software, and currently, TAG sports is producing a predator board for it.
X-mags have eyes.
Any ?'s?

I hear the emag has an extremely adjustable trigger. They are really nice.

An emag's 3.2 (latest approved software) is capped at 20 bps...So, incase you feel like moving your fingers that fast..

I have an E-tac and an Xmag. I love them both. They are a little beefy compared to newer guns, but are nearly indestructable. Tunaman had the best quote on the subject a few weeks ago at AONJ5 "Tom's biggest mistake was making these things too good - people have their guns for 10 years and they still work just fine"
They are as fast as any other true-semi. The ramping issue is covered by the soon-to-be-realeased-I-hope Emag Predator boards.

emags *drool - the whole reason I ordered a logic frame. to have something similar to a e-mag, but still have a unique mag. well that, and it has a predator board.
