Pro Classic or MiniMag

Well im thinking about getting a mag for a new gun. I have a few questions.

1. Can i run the minimag on co2?

2. Whats your opinion- MiniMag or Pro classic

3. Is the minimag comfortable? the co2 for the grip is kinda odd.

4. what kinda barrel threads does the mag have?

5. will a regular drop fit the mag?

6. can i get a double trigger on one of the mags wit out the intelliframe?

Mini Mag= 239.99
Pro Classic Mag= 199.99

planned upgrade id probably get
-intelliframe frame
-lvl 10 bolt
-new barrel

Thanks,
Pballa12

1. Yes its the same thing as the pro-classic, different body

2. same gun with a mildly different body

3. Exact same gun, little more weight. You can get a vert ASA for the pro-classic for fifteen dollars

4. depends on the gun, but the MM and pro classic use a special twistlock style barrel. It basicaly has part of the breach attached to it. ULE bodies have cocker threads.

5. yes

6. there are lots of aftermarket double trigger frames, the benchmark is probably the cheapest you goign to find. You could also vut the guard off and stick a double trigger on.

Mini Mag= 239.99. If you pay that much for a minimag, walk out and slpa yourself

Pro Classic Mage= 199.99 not the greatest deal, but not bad.

USed automags run around 100 bucks man. Thos two guns are identical except in body shape. Pick the one you want, or look around automags dot org and see what you wnat . My ersonal recomendation is to look around here and on AO and see if you cant find one with some of the ULE upgrades, or maybe even a fairly stock Xvalved gun(unless you dont want to get HPA, then look for a nice classic valved gun)

Thx for all the info. I would get a used 1 but i have bad experience with used stuff. I might get the proclassic because i like the look of it and i dont like how the co2 comes out of the va and not the asa.

Also do i need an elbow for the proclassic

and does anyone know i good place to find good upgrades most places ive found only have like 3 ups?

DOnt worry about buying a used gun. They last forever, and are hell to break. Ive had one that ive only oiled a few times over ten years of use....still works perfectly.

The vert asa on the minimag is removable, you can feed air into it via an expansion chamber(recomended) or a vert grip, then out os the VA into the gun, or you can bypass the vert asa and go straight to the conection on the valve. THERe IS NO DIFFERENCE BUT COSMETIC in the two guns. eventualy your going to want to get a vert adapter for a handle at least, but its easy to add onto a mag, its bolt on.

AS far as upgrades, you have limited options.

Trigger frame-either a new mech one from magsmith or tuna or agd, or an e or mech pneumatic frame.

Valve- xvalve replaces the whole shooting match of the actual mechanics of the gun. The e-mag valve and retro are the same thing, just heavier

Body and rail- you can get a ULE body/rail. They both make it ligher, and the body is nice because it converts to cocker barrel threads.

Everything else is generic, you just have to find a twist lock mag barre if you want to upgrade, or get one of docs adapters(some on ebay right now i think).

Yes you need an elbow, they are all going to be powerfeed or right/left feed
