co2 worthy

Well it took me a while but I finally can admit that I lost total interest in tourny paintball. Time to sell off my dm4 (and maybe my shocker..) and time to get a gun that can run on co2.
I don't really want a tippmann, I already have a mech autococker, but I kinda want a mag. I wanna keep it under 300 bucks (buying new..yes I know I should go used but..yeah) so I'm thinking of buying a pro classic with a black ULE (solely because I want it centerfeed). Itl run about $290.

Classic valves can run nicely on co2 without problems correct? And will I have any problems with broken orings and all from having it rot in my closet for months at a time without oiling (or use)?

I just want another gun like my autococker where I know for a fact that whenever I air it up it won't leak at all and will shoot as nicely as when I first took it out of the box.

with normal lubing and such..

Yeah, you shouldn't have any problems with the classic valved mag.

They're really great guns and will shoot nicely even while running on co2.

good choice

the 68 classic isn't really mine. it's just in my posession for a little while. I really want my own.

will not run smoothly. it will run, untill the cold hits, then your screwed. also, it wears the o-rings faster running co2. i know you want to buy new, but PLEASE look around automags.org B/S/T forums before you do anything. this is paintball, no need to buy anything new.

There are always a few tricks to working with CO2 in the cold.

Hunting socks with those heaters for one.

I remember playing a scenario is Missouri in the winter. It was in the 20s the whole weekend. There were alot fo CO2 problems. Some people however, did just fine.

Most of those people had the hunting socks with the built in heaters. The put the sock on their CO2 tank, turned on the heater, and wrapped some rubber bands/duct tape on it. They were fine for the whole day.

When HP was still on here he once said that using a remote coil wrapped around the gun, with the tank mounted on the gun or on your back helps them in the cold months.

I'm still going to use my 45/45 but there is a private place in town that gives free co2 fills but charges a few bucks for nitro fills.
