it doesn't really have threads... it's a twist-lock system. but you'll never have to get a new barrel because tom kayne is the **** and what he touches is perfection, (ok so i took it a little far...you get the idea though)
at $80 that is a STEAL. do not think twice, go pick it up RIGHT NOW before the seller changes his mind.
If he was shipping it, I'd be the owner of a new automag right now.
It will work fine on either CO2 or HPA and for $80 is a pretty good deal. It isn't the greatest looking mag I've seen but the beauty of mags is that most everything is interchangeable you can swap out the valve or the body and make it however you want. For being such an "outdated" marker they still have a huge aftermarket following and new stuff is still coming out for them. Good luck finding that kind of support for a four year old electro or even replacement parts.
The long and short of it is that Automags are great fun to shoot ball on ball accurate and are so simple to maintain that they make a Tippmann or Spyder look like brain surgery by comparison. Buy it and welcome to the world of high end mechs.
I don't think he is full of crap but I doubt he has ever shot an Automag in his life. He probably just thinks they are old outdated technology and he considers a low end electro a better deal. In a way he is kind of right. Mechanical markers are somewhat out of style since electro prices and quality have now come to a point where you can get some really good markers for a really low price and some people like that. If you are looking for a really good mechanical marker Automags have a lot to offer they have low recoil or "kick", a small compact design, a built in regulator, easy disassembly, easy repair, nearly zero maintenance. $80 is actually a very good deal for that marker there is a reason that Automags have a resale rate that puts any electronic marker to shame and that is because 'mags are just that good. If you don't like it shoot me a PM and I'll buy if from you.
he says the its not worth it for an automag, he says for like double the amount i can get a mid end marker, do you think hes full of crap or what????
what the hell? you told me you were getting it, like rubbing it in my face. now you gotta cry to pbforum? i told you ive seen them locally for 100. at least 3 instances. i have never shot an automag, nor did i ever say i have which edits what i said at all. but i do not call it "high end", which seems to me like you are obsessed with it being "high end". i call it "classic", not near "high end".
im just saying that he shouldnt make a purchase just basing it on that it is "high end", which he seems to be obsessed with.
