HELP Just got an Automag 68 classic,
i just got a classic 68 auto mag. i was wondering how much its worth. the reg on the bag reads-
SMART MAG-
cutom built for smart parts
68 AUTOMAG
THE NUMBER IS SM00709
what is the value of this marker?

sounds like you got one of those "magic boxes" on it that did absolutely nothing

whats a magic box? i know nothing about automags. i can take some pics. give me a few min. the serial SM00709 matches on both the sections or the reg/bolt (i think its those parts but the #s match)

It's a supposedly low pressure device that SP installed on automags. It was a scam, basically.
without seeing pictures, and assuming that it's nearly stock, i'd say between $200 and $300

does the valve have the goofy smart parts box on it? or is it just a "smartmag" that is the same as any other classic mag?
level 7 or level 10? powerfeed body or standard feed? grey body, polished or black teflon? stock grip frame or aftermarket? any barrels with it, or a splash kit or anything else of note?
probably worth more like 100-150.

For the Magic Box, that's easy. Does is have a black box on the side near the rear, ala:

it does not have anything goofy looking or that says smartparts on it. so i guess its just a smart mag. i have no clue about the level, standard feed, polished body, and stock grip. smart parts logo barrel. no clue of the specifics on thaat.

By tipping the gun you could load the valve with liquid co2, this let you get a hot shot. When you got checked at a chrono the gun would shoot normally.
