You might need some harder springs but the Thunder Cat for sure might give you trouble I know my Alley Cat refuses to work with HPA at all.

I'd just buy the factory rebuild kits they are still available and have all the orings and seals and springs. Generally when I pick up older and neglected markers that is where I start. After all the proper orings don't do much good when the springs are corroded and the seals are cracked and dried out.
