So, I was cruising around the swap meet today with my lady friend, and stumbled upon this Automag. I'm not too familiar with them, but I figured that it might be something fun to shoot once or twice, then sell again. I'm mostly interested in what kind of Automag this is, than the price, but I'd like to know if anyone knows how much these things are going for nowadays. It also came with a Smart Parts AA barrel, and a bag full of various oils.
I'm far from an expert on Mags, but looks like a typical Automag. Doesn't even look like an X-valve, but rather looks like a level-7 valve. I have no idea of worth, as I said, I'm far from an expert.
That is a Minimag. I would probably ask around $100obo if you are selling in. I think people ask for $125 for them that are known to be upped and in better condition.
That barrel may be worth a nice penny... I don't know anything about it, but just a feeling.
Just aired it up, and shot it a few times. It works well. I've never really messed around with AutoMags before. I thought that they were supposed to shoot super fast? It seems like it would be a fun marker to take out every once in a while.
This is exactly what I thought about mags until I owned one. The trigger pull was really heavy, and I didn't like how it shot. It was a most disappointing experience.
RT and Xvalve are the ones that really rip with very high pressure tanks and they can hit 30bps easy. You can also add a ULT trigger kit to a 'mag and that will let you lighten the trigger pull quite a bit but it still won't be electro light.
I was using my HPA tank. The trigger pull is pretty heavy, and I noticed that the trigger doesn't work unless the marker is aired up. Just thought that was a little weird. It shoots fairly quiet, which is kind of cool.
I was looking on youtube for some fast firing automags, and it seems like they all have loaders on the sides of their markers instead of up top like normal markers. Just thought that was kinda weird.
never owned a warp feed. is there like a catch or something to them. they dont seem like they would feed as fast or efficiently as would be needed with a higher bps
You stick a hopper into the warp feed. the hopper feeds into the warp feed, and the warp feed pushes the paint through a tube and into your marker. It allows the hopper to be placed anywhere.
i think pinokio would be the hopper company that needs something like this. they have the pinokio, a new smaller version, and a cyclone one. they certainly that would take this idea and put it to the test. kee might even try this
