yeah. they are tourny legal.
what they do is they use air or some sort of pressure (im rusty here guys.) to kick the trigger back out into your fingers. people will say they are illegal, but that is a myth from the 90's because they were reaching unheard-of speeds back when it was the ALL SS Retro-valve, so people started saying they were cheating and illegal. but its not. everyone says it has a reactive trigger, its not a reactive. its a response. so yeah.
any other info?

air goes through the reg and valve and pushes on the bolt pin and kind of pops it forward like a cork out of a champagne bottle, then the spring on the bolt returns it. very simple operation

i thought SS was harder to shape, therefore its more expensive. Aluminum is softer so its easier to produce. therefore cheaper???

because SS is smoother than aluminum. and people like smooth stuff. so...they can charge what they want on the SS barrels

eh. its economics. Stainless steel is smoother than aluminum. manufacturers know this. so they jack up the prices on SS

x-valve, being aluminum, is also lighter than the retro valve. And to alot of ppl lighter = better. Thats why its more expensive. And as mentioned before, it doesnt have to be milled for ULT like the retro.

well, the retro isnt made anymore. so it doesnt really matter whether or not it doesnt. i do believe it came with one before the X-valve came out. but that was only for like a month or two. IF That

xvalve is 3oz lighter and has LX stock.
retro is all steel no LX and u can not install a ULT without heavy mods (drill a hole bigger).
