Thanks... yes this was very helpful. Pretty much made up my mind that the Tippman/Flatline is not the way to go for me... The E-Mag still seems to me my number one choice then... but my second choice is probably one of the WDG Autocokcers...

Can you comment on the differences (other then the kid responses that one is better then the other and that Autocockers are too difficult to tune. Im not afraid of getting my hands dirty with any gun.)? I need some substance to go with either one.. All guns have their drawbacks.. I just want to identify them.

(And for the ones who like to direct me to other forums, please dont.. If I wanted a biased opinion then I would go to the Tippman forum or autococker forum.

As I see it.. sell me the reason why the Mag is a better gun... I will do the same in the corresponding forum for the other guns.)

Thanks again for your comments!

One reason that many people like the automags is because many people think that automags suck. That way when you own someone they get owned by a gun they think is sucky. I personally like my autococker, but it is fairly heavy, it is heavier than a mag with a ULE body. Though probably about the same as a non-ULE mag. Also the X valve or Emag valve make it slightly lighter.

K.....get ready for this.......

I'm not going to say a Mag is a better gun...Ha.....didn't see that coming did you.

I very much like Mags but they are not perfect.....no gun is. FYI,the newer 'Cockers are very dependable and reliable, maybe more so than current mags(Level10/ULT)but also have their downfalls.

You really must shoot each one and decide for yourself.Performance overall is really not going to be an issue at that price range, but there are definately differences elsewhere.

Current Mags are IMO:

very unique and original in todays world of "clone" everything
very fast
very low profile
very compact
fairly light weight, can be very if done right
very good on consistancy if maintained well
come along with a near 'cult' type following of other owners/users
not great on efficiency
potentially finicky with the Level 10 and/ULT installed
initially require the tuning expected of 'old' time cockers
hard to find local support(service) and parts for(typically)
poor on resale

That's MY opinion and the honest truth as I see it. Let us know ehat the other forums have to say.

Jay.

What is a Mag RT ULE without the ULE body? Just an RT? I figure so. But just wanted to know.

Yes, you are correct. An RT is an RT. The ULE is just a new body for nearly any mag.

Theres a tiny switch on the E-mag that you can switch to manual from. When it is in this mode it shoots EXACTLY like an rt pro.

No, the whole gimmick of it is that it's a fast mech trigger.

thanks for answering.

Another Question- Are the X-mag and E-mag at the top of the list for the best mags? Or does the ULE have any competition with them? It being that one costs 330 and the others cost 1000+?

You really shouldnt be thinking about price when comparing them because an rt pro is not even close to an x mag. But then again once the deadly wind hair trigger comes out ,.......well we will just have to wait to find out wont we
