Have a question about Mags? Post it here!
Automag FAQ’s
Ok, I’ve been seeing a lot of good questions being asked recently, and I feel it would be nice to have a thread like we have the tippmann forum for FAQ’s
If you have any basic questions about Mags that aren’t answered in this thread, feel free to post them. We will answer them as soon as possible.

ULE stands for Ultra Light Engineering. You pronounce it U.L.E. Simple as that!

How much paint are you putting through it, and do you, or do you not play on fields where there are fill stations?

You'll probably get about 900 shots with a 68/4500 on a mag. They aren't too effecient, yet they aren't gas hogs either.

Ok, that's good enough. I put a good amount of paint thru it, but I can refill twice during a day and I'm not going to be shooting 1 1/2 cases a day.

A revvy will be fine on an RT Mag. You shouldn't have too many problems out shooting your hopper, unless you have fast fingers Also if you plan on sweetspotting it a good amount, then you're going to need something faster. My idea is it's always better to cover your butt, so i went for a Halo knowing i would never outshoot that on a mech mag.
Egg's are also a good choice, though i hate them with a passion. Ugly, and cheap.
Rico's are nice as well. Zedaine uses them, he loves them.

Ok thanks Headly. i am probably just going to get an egg after i get my mag. I have this tendancy to fan the trigger, and i outshoot my revvy when i do that. I love to fan the trigger.

I'd advise you to get a ricochet apache, only around 90 dollars shipped, sleek and low profile, light weight (only weighs 1 pound with batteries) life time warranty, feeds 17-19 BPS (thats plenty fast if its going on a mag), and they look pretty sexy on mags They are very durable, and shouldn't ever break on you. (and just incase, you have that lifetime warranty ) Also it doesn't use an eye to detect paint, theres a little strip, and whenever a ball passed through it it agitates, so it will agitate every time the gun is fired, and since there is no eye you can use black shelled or dark colored paint in it

Halo's can be found for only $10 more and their faster. It's all a matter of preferance i suppose.

Thats true too, if you don't mind the extra weight, and not being able to use dark shelled paint. The true force feed of a halo does prove as a benefit, but the 22 BPS speed is quite unessesary for a mag since 17-19 BPS is plenty.
The force feed option of the halo is probably the only real benefit you'll recieve from the Halo, but if you don't mind the downfalls, such as extra weight, large ammount of battery consumption, and being absolutely useless if an electrical problem happens or your batteries run out of juice, then go for the halo.
The ricochet can be used as a pretty effective gravity feed hopper if electrical problems persist.
I guarantee you wont be able to outshoot the apache, but I don't guarantee you'll be able to turn your gun upside down and still be able to shoot, like with the halo.

Yea, just make sure your not up to high. If i want to upgrade to an electronic, would it be hard?? Would i have to just get a e-frame and put it on or what? Do they even make aftermarket e-frames for mags?

There is a centerflag hyperframe, its' pretty expensive though, I think it goes for around $400-$500 (someone correct me if I am wrong). But yeah, just slap on the frame and your ready to rock.
