So do many new Electros, some are less.
Mags as we both know are very customizable and the hAIR is just one option to add on it. We cant say if it will be worth it or if it is overpriced because we havent used it and we dont have a MSRP yet.
True but Colin ballparked at $250-$350 and if AGD has a hand in it it will at the top end of that
Will it be problematic? we dont know. But so far its gonna be a while before it comes out and when it does come out it will be AGD tested and approved which will be enough for me to trust its performance. When this is gonna happen is beyond me but when it does come out i expect it to be without flaw.
What will likely happen is AGD releases it as Beta and let's AO do the final testing for them
Now it should cost around the same as an E-blade, its a preference choice, do you want electro or do u want mech, some might say that throwing 300+ down for an e-blade is WAY up there in cost.
I agree it is too much, except in that case you can blame that on US$ Exchange rate, import cost and SP licensing fees. A decent electro Mag frame should not retail for over $150 max. It IS only a sear tripper after all,not unlike the EBlade which should also be in that price range
I myself am still a little skeptical about it though but im sure that one way or another something good will come out of it

Perhaps......I'm sitting here and waiting to see right along with you. I do hope you have a comfortable chair.

Well right now i can take the wait because i am content with what i have. But sure, having a little speed boost would definately be desirable. Right now mag users have about 3 options for the speed department. Theres the hAIR trigger, not out yet, but looks to be quite popular. Then you have the devilmag upgrade (frame, predator board, eyes, covers). This costs around 800 dollars, for that price you could get a high-end electro or even a brand new e-mag, which would be the third option. To many, the 300 dollar price tag on the hAIR trigger doesnt look so big anymore when it comes to speed upgrades.

w00t! Good news!
Update-
we now have enough legal fileings in place to start moving forward... but there is still a kink or two in the works. There is another company (who shall remain nameless at this time) who is claiming prior and broader protection. We are in the process of getting more information from them and hopefully work it all out very soon.
In the mean time I have been quitely working on how to install everything into an I-frame, Y-frame, and the Vert frames that are out there. Once all legalities are out of the way, I hope to at least be making these myself (by hand for now) and have some available for sale before the end of the year. Negotiations are still in effect with AGD, but AT THIS POINT there is a good chance they will not be picking it up. This is subject to change. Please do not flood Tom with requests.. there are reasons for every decision.
I am trying to keep the price around $250 (this would include the triggerframe), and offer some sort of a tradein discount on your existing grip if you send it in.
I cant really comment more on the legals yet. I will, however, say that the "other company" is not the G-force guys with the Super-68 marker.
out!

wow, this thing is AMAZING! Anyone have any speculations on how the thing could possibly work?? it doesnt seem posible to have a mech trigger so light and short. I also heard (im sorry, i know you mag guys will kill me for this) but they might be making one for cockers. Anyone care to expand on that rumor? I think the guy was totaly bs'ing me, but i want to varify it.

just wanted to give you mag guys an update on the cocker spinoff/version of the Hair trigger. deadly wind themselves have plans to make a cocker version, not just the spin off guys. i e-mailed them and they told me that its in the works...know that dosen't mean much to most of you mag guys, but mabye brian will like that.
EDIT: I actually got that info about a month ago, i kinda forgot the rest of what he had said in his e-mail...but here it is, its short and sweet, veryyy sweet.
Subject: Re: hair trigger question
Larry-
We have plans for a cocker tippmann automag and spyder. When? Have no idea. :-/
Thanks-
Colin
