MicroMag Questions

hey im buying a used micromag for $250, and it has 3 stars left. I was gonna upgrade it after i got it, but i was wondering. Should i get the intelliframe or the y-frame? Whats the difference between the two? And, what sort of valve comes with a micromag, was the seller lying to me when he saud they usually run at about $500. Thanks again.

It's up to you. They are basically the same frame except the Y frame is angled forward, kinda like an 'extreme' vert frame.

"And, what sort of valve comes with a micromag"

Stock it came with a 'MicroMag' engraved classic valve.

"was the seller lying to me when he saud they usually run at about $500. "

When they were new they ran in that price range, used they are going for $2-$300 tops w/ a Classic valve.

If it has "3 stars" , it's going to be a Classic.

$250 is fair depending on condition and what else it has on it.

Level 10?
Single or Double trigger?
Included Barrel/kind?
Overall condition?
Nice anno?

I would say $250 is about the most you should pay for a classic valved mag.You could always go RT ULE custom brand new for $340 so.....

hAir trigger info here.......

Niether of those have reached the reserve yet I can't say if it's a good deal or not.

Do stay away from "Phase 2" valve parts and anything aftermarket that's been added to the valve system in general.

It voids any remaining AGD warranty

Kills the valves resale value

Typically effects the valves performance in a negative way

And implies that the valve has been 'tweaked' or 'tuned' which you really don't want to have done by any NON AGD tech.

So consider that lesson #1 for the day......

#1-In purchasing a used Mag.....You want a completely stock valve, besides the addition of the Level 10 or other AGD performed update.
