Rapidfire on 850PSI with a ULT

I'm not sure how many shims I have in my ULT, but right now, my gun is rapid firing like crazy. IT'll shoot off a good 5 or 6 round burst if I stroke the trigger back . And I can walk it like crazay.

The thing is, I'm using only 850PSI input into the gun. I thought it was impossible to get this effect when using that low a pressure on a ULT. Its crazy

what tank do you have? i run my e-mag with a 800 preset 70/4500, and i get alot of bounce. it really suprized me when i got it, because my last gun i had would only get like 3 or 4 burst if i was lucky. on this one i have made it last till the halo was empty(didn't take too long lol).

Sounds like you have too many shims in it. The only problem you'll have is wearing out your bolt($40) and sear($30) faster.

Ehh ... $70? Maybe I'll take that shim out then. I dont really think I like it, mostly because I can walk that fast and if its going on runaway like that when the refs chrony my marker, they'll tell me its illegal at the field becuase its not really semi anymore.

Its a fairly new Pure Energy HP tank so I assume the pressure is around 850PSI

If he can shoot just as fast as he says he can rapid fire it, then the parts are going to wear out at the same time anyways...

You'll be fine alpha, only problem is not being allowed in the field. And remember to oil, oil, oil, mags love a good oil (4 drops every 2 weeks or every time you go)

Ok let me go into more detail. The sear is not spring loaded the on/off pin pushes it into place. So if you shorten the on/off pin the sharp edge of the sear is the only thing catching the bolt. It hits it on the edge of the bolt and chips it and that wears it away faster than if it was setup correctly.

For the record, it has beem documented that too much ULT shims is a perfect way to acheive rapid fire.

The stock on/off and 1000-1200psi is the perfect way to get trigger bounce. Grinding the stock on/off pin down or too much shims in the ULT is a malfunction of the valve design. Tom has documented that screwing with the lenght of the on/off will result in the bolt and sear wearing out faster.

according to Zak Vetter, there in no real wear problem with rapid firing. http://zakvetter.com/Pages/Paintball...cess_wear.html

Thats true, but Zak Vetter doesn't use a ULT, he doesn't like them because he can't have his bounce unless he puts too many shims in. Bouncing with the ULT will wear the sear faster, but its not going to be a dramatic change.
