possible upgrades
In my signature, you can see my gun and my ups i put onto it. I dont want to replace any of these parts, i am looking for new parts. Dont say nitro, im probably already gonna get that. Could someone give me the name of a really nice, but cheap regulator that allows for adjustments and a gauge? If you were me, what other upgrades would you get for this gun? any input is appreciated.

A good regulator with a guage is the CP regulator, thats the cheaper of the good regs ($70).

getting a decent reg is all about getting good consistency and maintaining velocity. I highly recomend the palmer rock.

aggie, the palmers rock is a LPR. low pressure reg for use on cockers and adapted for use on some other mid/high end electros. the palmers stabalizer is a good choice for your HPR application though. aka, cp, palmers, bob long. all make good regs.
this is in the wrong section btw. please have it moved.

A Halo B is force feed.
Force feed on spyders is very bad because most use an elbow. Spyders don't have eyes and don't come stock with very good bolts. This will have very many jams and chops.
And an investment for a hopper with a price tag of $130 +/- is very stupid with a spyder. Most spyders are capped at 13 or 14bps anyways.
Like I said just use a Revolution or Evolution. Both will work better on a spyder than a Halo B would.

obviously you guys didnt read his specs.
he allready has a hopper. A less mainstream hopper but one that is an equivalent to the revvie(same shape, and feed rate. But uses a whirlpool mechanism rather then a paddle which means it can hold more balls). As for UrBlindNow7's comment i would have to agree if he was starting from scratch. But he is not, and even if he was not very many people are willing to put that much money into a hopper when they just started playing recently.

upgrading low end guns is stupid.
1)resale sucks
2)most upgrades dont even make your gun perform better
3)You usually have a low end gun for a reason, meaning you're somewhat tight/low on cash and you should be spending the money that you have playing on the field and not upgrading your marker just to show it off on a forum or stuff.
Eggs suck. Get a revvy w/ x-board or emp reloader.

XBall: Zap is rated at 10bps, were as the revvvy is rated at around 12(w/ xboard). This is balanced out by the fact that the Zap holds moe balls. At the very least it isnt worth an upgrade.
DJS2: 1) sometimes, yes. But for example, if you buy a J&J Ceramic you can resell it on ebay for the same price of a new one($35)
2)for low end guns the difference is negligible(sp?)
3)true.

Yu're a dumbass.
I much perfer to buy a -so called- "low-end" marker and tinker the hell out of it then to just plop down a wad of cash and buy a cookie cutter -so called- "high end" marker thats exactly the same as everybody elses.

Watch it on the flaming, he had a few points.
And I find it ironic, how you attempt to call him a dumbass, but you can't say it right.
Correction: You're a dumbass.
I don't know what Yu're exactly means.
But many low end markers these days perform almost like a high end gun. ie. Ion, BKO, Evo, etc.

Once again, a simple question turns into a flame pit.
Id say that the CP reg would be nice.
Oh and by the way, noone really answered his other question completely.
Basically counterstrike, a regulator...regulates. It makes it so that the flow of air thru the maker is consistant all the time. Think of it this way (you dont have a reg in this scenerio)
-You shoot your first shot and it comes out at 260bps...then your second shot comes out at 267, then 250, then 246, then 280, then 289...
Since each ball is going to be traveling a different speed, its going to land closer, or farther away, resulting in crappy accuracy.
(Now with a reg)
-Youll be shooting 280, 285, 283, 283, 284, etc...much tighter grouping, and assuming your holding your marker steady, your accuracy will be much greater.
So with a reg you will get better consistancy, which will balance out to greater accuracy, and more efficiency (more shots per tank)
