Air tank question

I have a question for anyone who hasa any idea on this. I have a HPA tank from the fire department that does not have the same top valve as a scuba tank. I have a CO2 fill station and a quick disconnect that would fit on the HPA tank. I was wondering if I used: The HPA tank (yes it is 4500) and the CO2 fill station with the disconnect if I could fill my tank on my gun. My real question is; will my CO2 fill station I have hold up to the pressure to do this?
Or will I kill myself trying this? Thanks

Um, don't do it period. HPA and co2 are 2 different gasses. High pressure air and Carbon dioxide. I personally wouldn't do it all.

try, see what happens, post back if it works, if you don't respond--we understand

No, even using the CO2 fill station to fill from a SCUBA tank isn't a good idea. There are fill kits made for HPA that have the gauges you need to keep track of what is happening.

I think that is what is happening here. If you're asking about filled a HPA tank with CO2, then the answer is still no.

I tried it, I turned the tank from the fire station on really low and let it fill somewhat. I know you understand that I did let it fill to 4500 though/ I am still here too, nothing happened. Worked for what I wanted it for.

it would work if you swap the hose on the CO2 fill station for a very high pressure hose(one rated at 5000psi+. make sure the supply tank doesnt fill more than 4500 as well.

I'm sorry, i still think that was stupid b/c u didn't know if the two tanks were compattible or if u would over fill it.

The air tank from the fire station was actually a breathing tank that was filled to 4500 psi, my tank was also a 4500 psi. I knew that there was no way to overfill it so I went ahead and tried it, it worked even though I only put about a 1000 psi in it. Paintbug was right though, the co2 fill station did hold up to the pressure just had to change out the hose.
