Refilling my own HPA tank?

I am considering buying a large scuba tank(bulk HPA tank, i dont know what they are called) and using that to fill my Crossfire 68CI/4500PSI tank.

I am wondering if there is any type of certification needed to fill my own HPA tank and how much a bulk HPA tank cost's. Also could I use some sort of air compressor to fill my tank so I would never have to worry about running out of air in the big tank

you would need a filling station... and a regular garage style compressor will not work.. becouse garage style only puts out around 300 psi and you have a tank that can take 4500.. but there are compressors made especially for this puropse but the cost very much...... and it only takes a few dollars to fill a scuba tank anyway...

To my knowledge you wont be able to fill your tank. For many reasons.

1. Lack of a fill station.
2. You would need to cascade your tanks if you do not have a compressor, and you only have one fill tank.
3. It’s dangerous to fill your own HPA tank, especially if the hydro date is expired. Remember, you’re messing with compressed air, in a tank that rests near your vital organs. Don’t go dicking with it. (not that you could get that pressure with one fill tank anyway)

Just stick to paying for fills. They aren’t expensive anyway. What’s $4 every time you play?

4500 psi output compressors cost around $3,000 for a good one. Have fun with that.

Getting a Scuba tank and fillstation will work, but I hope you can find a place to get the scuba filled cheap. I guess it's a good investment if you can get the scuba filled cheap.

Ok, so getting a compressor is out of the question. If I take my tank to the local fire department or someplace like that will I need to buy a fill station or something like that? And where could I go to buy a large tank that I can use to fill up my 68/4500? Are there any types of certifications that I need to get to fill my own tanks if I do buy a large tank?
