the main problem with steel tanks is that they only come in 47 ci (actually i have seen 45, 48, 50, and 55, but at 3000 psi those few extra ci arent going to give you many more shots, maybe 50 at the most)
47/3000 on a gun with average effeciency would mean about 500 shots. for some people that will last all day, for others it wouldnt be enough for one game. and fiber tanks are lighter, but no one is going to think you are a pansy for having one. sure, most people are capable of carrying a gun with a 5 pound tank on it. but just because you can doesnt mean you have too, and after a long day of running, jumping, sliding, and diving, having the fiber tank sure takes a load off. i would even go as far to say that you would be physically capable of playing longer with a fiber tank than you could with a steel tank.
fiber tanks hold much more air (both volume wise and pressure wise, mean 2 to 4 times more shots per fill) meaning you can play longer without filling up.
so if that isnt enough, i dont know what is. the only reason that steel tanks are really still around is because they are cheap, not everyone can drop $180+ to get some extra consistency and extended o-ring life. if you can afford it though (whether that means having money on hand or working and saving up) i would HIGHLY recommend getting a fiber tank. if you cant afford it, well, youre still allowed to have nitro too
