ATTN: HP Or LP??? Look Here!
Every high-end marker can run off of a LP tank (preset to 400 or 450psi.), but I would recommend a HP tank because you will never have to worry about velocity problems caused by the tank.
Every marker out there can run off of a HP tank (preset to 800 or 850psi.). That means every low-end marker that doesn't need to be regulated (Spyders, Piranhas, etc.), and every regulated marker (Impulse, Angel, Cocker, etc.). It just depends on what regulator is on the marker.
Pretty much every regulated marker out there now comes standard with a regulator that can be used with a HP preset tank. These regs can handle the high pressure and lower it to the marker's operating pressure.
But on some markers (I think Angels, maybe others), their regs can't handle the HP. So, you'd either need a LP preset tank for them, or, you could just buy an aftermarket regulator (most will run off of a HP fine: CP, SW, 2-Liter, Torpedo, Gladiator, etc.). An aftermarket regulator would generally be better than one that came stock on a marker.

Ya, that's pretty obvious because they run at 2 times the pressure. Plus that's basically what I'm saying, that there will always be a sufficient amount of air needed to pressureize the marker.

accually HP tanks don't nessicarily give you more flow... HP tanks could be more restrictive, and if you run it on a gun that uses 700+ PSI or are shooting over 15 BPS on a LP gun, then you will notice the problem... Higher output pressure doesn't mean ne thing
Personaly. If you own anything above an impulse in quality of gun... buy a LP tank. B/C the thing is, whern you run a HP tank on a LP gun... you require the reg to work harder, and it puts more wear and tear on the reg. it can also make the gun less consistant..
So my recomendation, if you own a spyder, or tippmann, and wana run it on HPA, buy a HP output tank... If you use an Ion, Impulse, Bushy, BKO, Any high end gun (costs over $500), ect.... use a LP tank... You will expirence better consistany, less wear and tear on ur regs, and it will give you just better performance
but when buying tanks... pick a good company, Pure engergy, ACI, ect. are crap tanks... they have horrible recharge rates and don't perform.
My recomended list of companys to buy tanks from are Cross Fire & MacDev... they are priced the same as any of those other tanks, but perform 100,000,000x better then them!
