right now i have a 48/3000 but I kinda think it runs out of air too fast. Do you think that it would be a good investment to buy a new tank.

THe best bet for a tank is a 68/4500 fiber wrapped tank.

You can get one from $150 - to $300 depending on new/used and manufacture.
