Experience w/ Replacing Gauges?

Just got a new tank and the gauges just look kinda shabby....was wondering if any of you had any experience with changing the gauges out...

This is my assumption...

1. Take gauges out (with empty tank).
2. Put blue loctite on new gauges.
3. put back on the tank.

Just want to make sure before i do anything that's all!

Or teflon tape it. Either works.
