question about a particular N2 tank

well, after a 2 months i finally had the cash to buy my friends compressed air tank. i went over and bought it, and it was 45/45 system-x tank, w/ a centerflag reg. he said it should work with a spyder, though i asked him and he said if the tank doesnt work he would gimme my 100 bucks back. it had barely any air in it so when i get home, i try dryfiring my gun with what little air that was in it and it didnt recock. now im not exactly sure if this happened b/c its out of air, or if its actually a lp tank. im getting it filled tmw and trying it out again. but if it is a lp tank, would i be better off doing some lp mods to my gun, like buying a ndz valve, and drilling out the v/a and other home mods, or should i just get my 100 back and go buy a new tank?

It would not be worth modifing the spyder to run off that low a pressure.

Odds are it just wasn't filled all the way.
