why go to 4500?
the onyl difference i see between 3000 and 4500 is the amount of shots right? so if i have all day air it's not gonna matter..correct?

if your field has all day air, and you have a fiber wrapped 3k tank then there isn't a huge reason to switch. the only real difference you would get if you switched is that you wouldn't be going in as often to get a refill

More shots per tank might come into play too, if you burn through them really quickly.

I dont' think I'll be using 3000psi in a few games. i mostly play recball. I hardly even use pods during the game either. mostly cuz it's usually 3v3 instead of 5v5.
o i found an e-bay auction and he said the tank reg's chiped. here's a pic of it. would that still work and if not where can i get a new tank reg?

The regs seem to be the more expensive half of the tank, that one looks like it will do one of two things... Work, or leak. Plus most people would say that's the reg, not the cover. If the tank's shell is chipped, it might be bad enough that you'd be better off looking for another.

there, i fixed it. and yes iI know it's called a reg, i just was thinking about tank covers when i was typing.
would it be dangerous at all if i tried to get this aired up in the condition it's in?

Far from an expert opinion, but I wouldn't say dangerous so much as likely to leak.
I gotta wonder though, if the reg and the threads are beat up like in the picture what's the rest of the thing look like?

theres some specifics im not sure if the 3000's are fiber wraped or not although i think they are
another advantage for 4500 is hydrotest dates i believe it is tested less often than 3000
