I was told by the guy at the proshop that when screwing in my co2 tank, I should screw it until it is all the way in, then reverse it 1/4 turn. Is that true? Will the tank come lose? He seems to know what he is talking about, but I am not experienced enough to know.

just screw it in until you hear the gun air up and give 1 more good half a turn and it should be good

I am relying on him to be certain the tank will be in there frm enough, as he is anti siphoning the tank.

It sounds similar to setting your on/off ASAs
I recently found out that after reaching the bottom (all the way open), you back it off 1/2 - 3/4 of a turn...

When the tank is anti siphoned is it that there is a curved tube in the tank that faces up so then the liquid cant get into the gun as easily. Im thinking that he is teelling you to turn it back so the tank is facing the right way.. you should have the guy put a mark on the tank so you know when it is in the right position
