Exploding Remote!!!

Ok, it didn't exactly explode but it did burst. As i was playing sat. afternoon I noticed a bubble in my remote line by the quick release about the size of a golf ball. I played on for a while(probably not to smart)but when I stopped and shut the valve the bubbleed popped as I disconnected the line. The line was brand new and never used. I was using co2 on an A-5. Has this ever happened to anybody or could I have done something wrong? The line was rated at 3000psi and from Pure Energy. By the way it was the outer cover that popped and not the inner line(probably a safety feature I would think).

Another reason why I would never use a remote...

There was probably a small cut in it or something. If it was brand new, then I would try to contact the company, or wherever you bought it from, and see about getting it replaced. It shouldn't break like that obviously...

And next time you have a bubble in the line like that, just stop using it immediately. Chances are nothing harmful would happen, but better safe then sorry. Also saves the hassle of it breaking during a game.

If you ran HPA you wouldn't have that problem, remotes rule!

I thought co2 operated at a much lower psi than hpa. Wouldn't the effect have been worse? It wasn't cold out so I don't think that was a problem. I believe it was just a bad remote.

HPA runs at lower pressure than CO2. The air is regulated down to about 800PSI on HP tanks, and usually around 600 on LP tanks I believe. Usually CO2 is about 850PSI, but I seriously doubt that is what caused the problem. I would agree that it was a bad remote.
