Refiiling small CO2 bottle from larger bottle

Where can I get the fittings to refill a small 3.5 oz bottle from a larger 20 oz. bottle?

Don't want you to think people on this site ignore you. What you are suggesting doesn't sound right.. If you have to ask questions like this then you are better off just getting it filled at a paintball store I would think.

It's the same at every forum, there's always a noob that wants to sound like he knows something so he responds to posts acting like the OP doesn't know anything. How sad. Hope it stroked your pathetic little ego a little bit, loser.

Alright everyone, calm down and fight nice.

You'd want to basically build a fill station, but have a standard ASA on both ends...instead of the one end having the valve to attach to a bulk CO2 tank.
Getting a normal fill station and changing the one end would probably be best. But that would be costly.

You could *Probably* get away with just using two ASA's from old guns connected with a length of stainless braided line. All of these parts turn up all the time from people upgrading their guns. This setup would...work...but it won't have any bleed valves or on/off valves.

Ideally the 20Oz would have an on/off valve installed on it. Not an on/off asa though, because turning that off would bleed the small tank.

The problem I can think of is having to weigh the small tank while it was being filled. Portable digital scale would work, just be sure you're not lifting or pushing down on the small tank, since the 20Oz would have to be above it.

Basically, stop playing before the 3.5 is empty. Then put it into a unattached ASA and empty it, so it gets cold enough to fill. Then put it on the scale and connect it and the 20Oz to your device. Hold the 20 Oz Valve-Down over top of the 3.5 and hit the on/off when it gets around 3Oz of liquid in it. Basically its just following the standard process of filling any CO2 tank. Just don't overfill it.

With all that out of the way, I haven't done this. I've filled from a bulk CO2 tank, with a normal fill station with on/off valves and purge valves. I've talked to someone to had filled from a 20 Oz, and he said he could get 2 sometiems 3 good fills from it.

At any rate, anything you use must be pressure rated.

Well, first off. The 3oz tank your talking about filling, is it ment to be refilled? I've seen some that come already filled at Wal*Mart and those are not suposed to be refilled. Before you try anything, make sure the bottle you want to fill is ment to be filled.

If you got a remote line take a female ASA off your marker, and fit that where the male ASA would fit on the remote line. But if you do attempt to fill this bottle, make sure you know how to properly fill a bottle. A digital fish scale would work for the purpose of filling CO2 tanks and is cheaper than most others. Just as accurate.

One work of warning, if your remote is a coiled remote, when you run gass through it, ir curls more. So I would suggest using a solid braided steel hose, at leas 1 on/off ASA and a digital scale of some sort.
