Question Can an overfilled tank cause uncontrollably fast shots?

I was playing in my friend's yard where he has his own tanks to refill with. No scales or gauges or anything though...just filling until they felt and sounded full. Then, while playing the next round, my barrel got all frosty and was shooting white puffs (and it wasn't cold out) of frozen condensation. Then the balls started flying wild and the gun sounded like it was firing too hard. I chrono'd it and even with my Spyder Imagine velocity screw completely out, it was still firing 330+. Switching to my 12 oz tank fixed the problem. So, can a tank be overfilled? Is this what caused my problems, most likely? Should I worry that the tank was damaged?

Filling Co2 without gauges is STUPID and DANGEROUS.

It sounds like your tank was severly overfilled. It was probably feeding liquid Co2 into your gun, which would explain the white discharge.

Had this been a warm day, its very likely that your burst valve would have blown, or worse...

Please get a scale and look up the fill tables, otherwise you could wind up with a gernade next time.

I usually fill mine up without a gauge, on the tanks I use to fill up with, they wont let them fill to about 21.50z on a 20oz tank and such. But Yea, you should use a gauge.

Anyway, a Syphon tube/filter will help with your gun freezing and acting up.
