Reg. question

im not sure if this is really the right section to put it in but none of the others seemed fitting...

I was looking at this regulator here

http://www.anythingxtreme.com/Smart-...4453C1406.aspx

and i was wondering...where does it go. i think its on the bottom of the rip or a drop, but im not sure

and also why does it have threads on the end. in general o though tanks screw into the reg no visa versa

That attaches to the bottom of the grip frame like you said.

Actually, that's only part correct.

That regulator is made to replace the reg already on an HPA tank. And then the rail (top part of that reg) will attach to the guns grip frame and hold the tank and reg on.

so im assuming this is better than the tanks reg right?

and also my friend said that having 2 regs is good, so would a gun with a built in red and the HPA tanks reg do it or should i upgrade the guns reg

and finally would a verticle reg like this

http://www.xtremez.com/paintball/pro...k=yes&dept=434

fit in this reg sleeve

just wanted to know cause thats on of the parts that i got in the body kit for my ion

Better in what way? It does the same job. The only cool thing about it in my opinion is that it easily comes off the tank. Unless you take your paintball equipment on airplanes very often, this is not an issue. (You have to take the reg off of a tank for inspection to fly with it). Taking the reg off of the tank for no real reason is not a good practice.

Any normal reg will allow you to remove the tank from the gun.

2 regs is good? well not really... It's needed. The tank's output is 850psi, and the ion only needs a few hundred psi to operate on, anything higher will damage it. So the second regulator is there because it is needed. Some guns have 3 regulators. That doesn't make them better. It's just a needed part due to the way they function.

A higher quality reg MAY result in more consistant FPS and that in turn makes a gun more accurate.

I don't know if that reg will fit. Probably not, or probably not perfectly.
