its very simple, you line the threads up and screw it in. thats it. unless you are talking about anit-siphon co2 wich you should get a professional to do, or getting it filled wich should also call for a professional to do.

If its a Spyder, its a good habit to cock the marker before you put the CO2 on.

That's a 'knock off' clone of a spyder. You might as well.

Never knew that, thanks Torch!
:nododgy:
Hmm, would that really be a good idea or are you messing with me? Wouldnt air run through it? Because when you unscrew it when its cocked, you get a big burst of air too... In all seriousness, are you supposed to do that? Or are you trying to scare the **** outta me when the air comes flying at me?

You're always going to get a small puff of air whenever you screw in/unscrew the tank. Only way to stop that would be to get an on/off valve, but that's not totally necessary for your setup.
Having the marker cocked back prior to screwing in the tank won't really matter, I'd think. But since you're going to cock it back when the tank is on anyway, then might as well do it first. It's safe.

o ok, theres a nut on theside of the valve on teh tank. do i turn that to get a regualr flow of air? or no? because everytime i cock it and try to shoot noramly it shoots ones and wont shoot anymore after that. do i need that On/Off Switch? or someting?

No don't fool with that. It's a burst disk that is only there incase the tank is overfilled.
Unless you were told the tank was filled, or had it filled, it was empty when you bought it.
I've never broken a Spyder by putting air to it while it wasn't cocked. The theory is that cocking it takes the hammer spring tension off of the valve. Once it has air it'll seal anyway though. Only one gun I've ever seen actually malfunctioned if it wasn't cocked before getting air- my PT pistol (Basically a really small Spyder on the inside). The hammer spring on mine is heavy enough to hold the valve open when there is no air. If it isn't cocked, it'll leak badly, and then proceed to half cycle a few times and finally it'll blow itself into the cocked position. There's no serious damage, but if it would have had paint it would have chopped a couple of balls or shot them...either way an undesirable thing.
