If refilling with a scuba tank, would you buy a 3000psi or 4500psi tank?
Hello, if I remember right, a scuba tank doesn't exceed over 3000psi. If this is case, then buying a 4500psi tank wouldn't be beneficial. Because you are limited to the pressure of your source. If I planned just using scuba tanks to refill, then I would be ahead money wise to buy the 3000psi tank?
Is my reasoning correct?
I bought an Ion XE, I didn't have any air so I went to walmart and bought one of those co2 quick refills. I just couldn't wait. I was eager and excited to shoot it. I didn't shoot more than 20 times before the thing froze up, fully pressurized. I thought the gun was toast. I suppose I sucked up some liquid co2.
The tech support guy was nice, he said sure send it back, it's probably all messed up and we will fix it for you. He told me to mess with the solenoid, which caused it to discharge.
Fortunately the gun still works.
I'm ready for HPA now.
My parents live in Oklahoma, and we always play paintball the day after xmass. CO2 never really works well because the temp is usually in the 40's or 50's. I learned if we keep the big C02 bottle in the house, nice and toasty, it works better. My parents complain b/c we are running in and out, and making lots of psssst!!!!! noises.
I have scuba tanks and have ordered the fitting to refill HPA tanks. I just need some advice on which HPA tank is best for our situation. A cheaper tank, because I will probably have to buy extras for family members. Our family tourney is very informal.
Thank you,
Jim
