I'm assuming you're use steel braided hose on your setup currently?
First off, there's macroline, and microline. They work exactly the same, microline is just a thinner hose and thus has smaller fittings as well. I don't know what the point of microline is, I've actually heard it can cause flow issues on certain setups. I would suggest macroline, it's far more common so there's much less chance that you won't be able to find replacement hoses/fittings, and since the hose/fittings are bigger they are easier to handle.
The advantage macroline has over steel braided hose is that it's a flexible plastic tube; you can bend pretty much however you like (heating it up a little before is recommended), and cut it to the exact length you need/prefer. Also, the hoses pop right out of the fittings with a little pinch, so performing maintenance that requires dealing with the bottom line is a whole lot easier. You also can get it in pretty much any color you want if you care about that...
The downside is it's not as durable as steel braided hose. It wears out faster, and is more prone to weather changes (it's common for the hose to pop if left out in the sun... not dangerous, but it lets out a very loud bang and your air rushes out). It's not like you will be replacing the tube or fittings constantly, but you may have to a couple times a year... versus steel braided hose, which (assuming it's installed properly) will pretty much last forever.
I haven't used CO2 with macroline very extensively, but CO2 is easily affected by the weather and in general is much "rougher" on the internals; I'd probably recommend sticking with steel braided hose for now.
