how do you measure a drop forward? i have a spyder pilot ACS with the stock drop forward on it, and i want to put a psychoballistics black bullet on that measures 6", but i want to make sure ill have clearance for it before i order it.

unles you have an insanley fat tank, you'll have clearance. they dont' make drops that won't fit with tanks.

i meant length wise.. the one i wanted lists measurement as 2.5 drop by 6 length. i want to make sure that it wont interfere with the fore grip

it shouldn't. measure out 6 inches forwards adn 2.5 down and see of yourself.

will it be from the edge where the tank is or where the other end? im doing this mainly due to wrist problems....

let em check. I happen to have one of those drops sitting in my room that I've never touched.

edit:
the total length(including the ASA) is 8 inches
the height of the drop(no including the ASA) is around 3 1/2 inches this means the threads of you tank till begin at around 3 1/2 inches from the bottom of your grip frame.
