Some quick questions about paintball tanks

Hello, I'm working on a railgun for my calculus final project and need a way to "inject" my projectile into the electrical conducting rails of my gun. I can go into more detail if someone is interested, but what I need to know is the average size of a 12oz CO2 tank, and the average size for a 68ci N2 tank. I was also curios about the size fittings from the outlet of the tank. I will need to make an expander to meet my 1/2" square bore, but would like to know if there is an adapter from N2 or CO2 tanks to standard pneumatic screw sizes.

Cheers

Thank you very much, that is more helpful than you would think. I've done my own research and was able to find the connector sizes so I don't need that answered anymore, and I'm fairly certain I'm going to use hpa since my solenoid valve is good up to 2200psi and I would like to utilize that extra power.

Cheers

If possible, keep us updated on your project. Pictures always help also!

Gladly, don't have much actual work done yet, but have been finishing up my circuits and waiting for materials to arrive.

beginning of machining for barrel:

its made from3 layer 1/2" lexan polycabonate and is held together by 50 some grade 8 1/4" bolts to prevent it from exploding under pressure

the problem is not from the pressure of the injector (2000psi) but as extreme amounts of electrical current flow through the armature parts of the metal vaporize into plasma that can place up to an additional 5000 psi of force along with the force applied by the two parallel magnetic rails which create an incredibly strong magnetic field (up to 2 teslas)

heres 2 of my 24 capacitor which will allow me to use low current such as a car battery with inverter of standard electrical AC current to produce huge jolts of electricity up to 50,000 amps (most wall sockets have a fuse set to 5-15amps):

the quarter is there for reference size and the large red thing is a solid state silicon controlled rectifier (basically a large electrically controlled switch).

2/0 gauge copper wire (about 1/2" diameter):

will carry the electrical current from capacitor bank to rails although it is still still far from rated to handle this current and if the current was constant it would completely melt in less than a second.

I'll add some stuff later

Cheers!

its powerful technology. They hold the record for the fastest speed achieved by object of significant mass with some reaching upwards of 5km/s. Might be awhile before I get to the video stage (got to make sure I won't blow myself up when it fires first), but I'm sure to make one when that time comes.

Cheers
