air tank help

hey i'm getting back into the game after a few years out of it. i'm getting an ion xe. specs show it operates at 180 psi. i'm already assuming i'm gonna need a LP tank. probably a crossfire 68/4500. what i don't know is if i'll need another regulator to put the output pressure lower than the stock 450psi on a fixed pressure LP tank. I'm gettin nerdy on you guys and i apologize... just want to keep a gun in good shape for as long as possible.

nope. get a HP tank. a LP tank would work but you have have shootdown problems when shooting fast.

so just go for the HP tank and don't worry about a regulator of any sort?

the ion has a HPR which will regulate the tank to the pressure the gun runs at.
