Well... its dicks without the slashes. And no. Or at least here in IL they dont fill HPA. Only CO2.

Starter tank? There isn't a starter tank. Depends on what your local/public field provides. 4500 or 3000 psi. And preferably a carbon fiber tank, you can buy them at PB Nation used for a decent amount.

Your local field or paintball shop can fill your tank.

The closest thing to a starter tank would be HPA tanks that use a steel tank. They generally cost $50-$80. These tanks are okay and may meet your needs. I believe them to be a waste of money. They are heavy (generally 5lbs or so) and don't hold much air meaning you won't get that many shots (500 or so on average). Many players will later say that they regret their steel HPA tank purchase.

I'd recommend looking around the b/s/t on some paintball forums or using ebay. Look for a used carbon fiber hpa tank. Make sure it is within its hydro date. You can find them for $120 and around there, with "better" tanks costing more. The other option is to buy a brand new carbon fiber tank, the lowest i've seen is ~$150 and they go all the way to $210 for them. Among the big manufacturers of these tanks the only difference is price. Quality is good from all the big names and the performance difference is not something that you or any player would be able to notice.

I agree with bobide, getting a 4500 psi tank is a good thing.

To me, it's like a mask, don't skimp out, go for the good stuff, you'll be happier later on in life
