Need new tank
Hey everyone, I just bought a spyder electra package and the tank i got with it is a little...sketchy. It was hydro tested and its all good, but its extremely heavy and realllyyyy big.
Any help on getting a new one would be appreciated

Ninja Paintball 68 cubic inch, 4500 psi tank. Should run you about $150/160 new, or about $100 used. If you have time, you can try to find one out of hydro and have it tested yourself. This usually saves about 10-15 bucks...but the whole event will take about a month's time.

What takes a month's time? Hydro? I can take mine to a Dive Shop and have it done that day, some Fire Suppression stores will also be able to do it...if you live in a tiny town, ask your Fire Dept. who does their air tanks - might be someone local who doesn't advertise.

Purchase used tank from PbN or eBay - typical 3 day ship time after transaction clears.
5 days shipping (counsider a month to have 26 days)
2-3 days to get off your ass and send it in for hydro.
3-5 days to get tank to hydro.
Typical 3-5 day turn time on hydro (longer thru crossfire)
3-5 day shipping back to you
So - counting out the lowest values here and using november - since its the calendar page before my face...
exclude sundays because nothing moves for in-transits..
Counting from the 1st, it'd be the 22nd before I'd expect to be able to play with my purchased, re-hydro'd tank.

Ahh...I see, shipping it somewhere - yeah, I don't do that, if I had to wait that long, I'd just buy it new.

You should be able to find a CF tank for $80. Last Crossfire I bought used was $65 shipped with 3yrs left in hydro.

For that price you are looking at the 48 or 62 cu 3000 psi aluminum. Most used cf will be more than that and if not the they need a hydro or a new reg which will make them more in the long run.

if you are talking new the only issue is this will limit you to a 3k aluminum tank which is not really going to solve your weight issue as it will be more or less the same as the one you have already
