Bought ninja ultralite regulator, can't fill it

Hello guys,

Bought a HPA ninja ultralite regulator and the fill nipple is a mini type so I can't fill it using a standard fill station.

I'm not familiar at all with the terminology in paintball, and don't know how to fill it without buying an entirely new regulator. Are there any adapters on the market? I used a lot of google fu but can't find it since I know absolutely nothing about the HPA terminology.

Thanks!

The mini fill nipple works with the exact same fitting as the standard fill nipple. Have you tried filling it, or is this something that you have been told?

A ninja rep will soon be here to help you. They're like magic; you mention their name and *poof* they appear.

I actually tried it, with a scuba fill station, and it doesn't make the safety click so I'm not going to fill it as long as it's not securely in place.

Can I change the fill nipple to a standard one? Again, it's my first time using compressed air and I'm a complete noob at this

I do seem to recall a small handful of players being unable to use one specific fill station at my field. I can't remember why it was, though.
You should be able to swap the fill nipple for an old style one. I'm sure that Ninja can confirm this. It frustrates me that you just spent a lot of money on a tank, and your fill system doesn't work with it.

Alternatively, you could probably buy a new fitting for your fill station instead of a new fill nipple.

I have had this happen, its just because the fill nipple is new. push really hard into the fill station and sometimes you also have to grab the collar of the QD on the fill station and push that towards the tank to get it to lock into place. Rotating the tank while pushing also helps sometimes

Someone mentioned ninja....

As trbo mentioned give it a gently push forward and it should close. If it does not let me know but what brand scuba fill station is it?

nice. a necro on a relevant thread. i'll allow it

try pushing into the female end while pulling on the sleeve, see if that helps, might need to wiggle it to get a different angle

necro is bringing back a dead thread. Usually frowned upon but in this case it's relevant enough

yes, that's normal. I've also found that certain fill stations are very difficult to use on them. You may need to find a different adaptor, or at the very least, a new fitting that attaches to the nipple.

a necro isn't specific to this forum. a necro post is "bringing a thread back from the dead", by which the definition varies from forum to forum.

we're still talking about Necromancy?

Here's a quick overview of it. In short, it involves bringing the dead back to life.

I've had the same experience with ninjas fill nipples, never to the point where I couldn't get it to work but especially brand new they seem to be a little stiff to get into some fill stations, usually they break in though and if all else fails a new one not from ninja is under 10 bucks
