Co2 pin valve thing

I was wondering if the part that screws into your marker, and is connected to the co2 tank is screwed into the tank or kept in some other way.
I noticed it moved a little bit when I was unscrewing it, and didn't know if it should be moving when I unscrewed it.
If it is screwed in, should I put some lock tite or something in it to keep it from moving?
Is the little bolt in it used to keep it from moving?

It's screwed in, but take it to your local shop. They know what they're doing.

Should I empty it out first? It has about half a tank left in it. Or should I just let them empty it out?

Also, It's pretty new. Don't they come ready to shoot? Or do you have to put the lock tite in yourself? I've only shot it about 5 times.
I was wondering this, because I ordered another co2 tank from the same place I got this one. Is there a way to check them to make sure they're tight without accidentally breaking the lock-tite?

for some reason certain tank manufacures think that putting just an oring and not putting thread lock on the valve will hold. it is very unsafe and i have stated my opinion in several emails to them! sometimes they put loc-tite on them but not enough or they dont have the valve torqued down all the way when the make the tank. this would make the valve come loose more easily. you local shop may charge you $10-$20 if you didnt get it from them. i know we charge $20 per hour with a 1/2 hour minimum.

i figured you would have . they are one of the companies i have sent emails too. they also got one from me about the fact they now put 3000 psi burst disk in their tank valves. CO2 are pressure rated at 3000 psi but they wont withstand that much substained pressure long. not to mention the damage it would do to a marker if 3000 psi went into it.

Jeez, they should at least put a warning. As far as I can remember, I didn't get any papers with it at all.

Well, I went there, and the guy said alot of times, lock tite can make it even worse, so torquing it all the way down is the way to go.
