should I bend the pipe so it goes so high as posible in the tank?

You want the pipe to be straight up until about the last inch and a half or so. The last bit should be bent (use a pipe roller so it doesn't collapse) at a nice clean 90ish degree angle, staying away from the inner wall of the top of the bottle. Also, don't forget that when installed, it should be placed so that it's straight up when the tank is screwed into the ASA all the way.

I know the best way to install an anti-siphon tube in your Co2 tank. Take it to a pro airsmith, and get him to do it. Tel your friends.

yeah, dont do it yourself, chances are later on something will come loose and blow off, have it done professionally

people have died from anti siphoning their tanks by themselves and its come loose cuz they couldn't tighten it as much as they shouldve.

Guys, you're being a little sensationalist. If a person is mechanically inclined, and has enough common sense to loc-tite the threads when reassembling everything, it's the same as if you payed someone to do it.

I wouldn't recommend doing this if you have never done anything of that nature, but if you use your brain, follow instructions (which I'm sure an anti-siphon kit comes with), you should be fine.

I highly recomend getting an airsmith to do it, that way if something goes wrong, your not losing sleep thinking that you were stupid. If you do decide to put it on yourself, draw a white line with a sharpie or other permanent marker from the brass end/noyyle thingie onto the black tank itself. If at any point the line seperates and becomes 2 lines, STOP whatever you are doing, and take the thing to an airsmith IMEDIATELY because you are unscrewing the end and are about to have a normally safe tank turn lethal.

It doesn't matter if you do it yourself, or not. Anybody that owns a Co2 tank should be doing this aswell.

I'll ask it again. Where do you think paintball came from? It certainly wasn't from a group of highly trained, professional airsmith-pneumatic-electric-mechanical-hydrostatic-genius-certified energy beings from the planet Yermomlak. It was people, just people. They wanted to do stuff, they tried stuff, and it worked.

Yes, if you're 12 or 13 and have never done anything remotely mechanically related in your life, you should take stuff like this to an airsmith. But, speaking as someone that's worked on all sorts of things, from cars to hydraulic systems, from building computers to building houses, I can state that as long as you're reasonably careful, and have the right mindset, YOU TOO can save a trip to the proshop and fix it yourself.

If you're more comfortable taking it to someone, then by all means. If, however, you prefer the do-it-yourself thing, well, you know.

I understand the shock that the recent deaths and injuries has caused, don't get me wrong. However, you shouldn't live in fear for the rest of your lives just because 2 or 3 out of THOUSANDS of tanks decided to go haywire.
