It's so you don't need to carry around your tank on your marker, but you keep it in a harness designed to hold tanks. It's for rec ballers, and woods ballers, etc. This also helps give Co2 enough space to expand into a gas before it enters your marker.

Try not to get the hose caught on anything during play.

Screw the quick disconnect to your ASA on yourgun (the thing that the tank screws into) Unscrew the knob on the tank end of the remote all the way and then screw the tank onto the remote and then attach the other end to the quick disconnect on the gun. Then turn the knob on the remote all the way in. That will open the tank and send CO2 to the gun. Taking it off is a different story. First unscrew the knob all the way out to shut off the Co2 and then fire the gun until it makes that farting sound. Then use the quick disconnect. NEVER remove the quick disconnect with the line pressurized (always shoot it till it farts) after you turn the air off because it willsooner or later blow the o-ring out of the quick disconnect and your remote will be un-usable. And that O ring is a smaller harder to find size. So I hope this helps. Enjoy your remote!

I think its best to shoot it out before removing the tank because otherwise to take the chance of roasting the tank oring.

Do you mean a hole on the side of the ASA where the tank screws on? That's to help release the gas inside the gun once the tank is being unscrewed. It should help prevent the O-ring from being damaged. Smitty nailed it though.... It's much better to shoot the gun to release the gas. Make sure to remove your hopper or PBs first . When it runs low on gas and starts burping it might cause a mess. Keep in mind that the remote holds even more gas between the tank and the gun valve. In my spyder I get about 6 or 7 shots worth of air in my gun before burping but a remote might bring that up to 15 or more.
