Cp Regulator with C02

How well does it work? It looks like soon I'll be getting a new gun. Proly a 03 or 04 Autockcer. Well, it will be a while before I get N2, and one of the first things I would be getting would be a new reg.

Do any aftermarkets work, even ok, with c02?

-Check It Products Powerstation Inline Regulator
-Custom Products 04 Small Regulator

As anybody used these? They will work with Spyders right? Any c02?

Thanks to all!

i have a cp reg on my spyder.. it's great, especially once you break it in. I'm actually kinda curious myself if it'd work with co2 since i use HPA but run out when i'm at friend's fields.

edit: i should probably warn you, i'm pretty sure that stock the cp reg goes from 0-450 psi and the spyder is designed to run at 800 psi. so be prepared to mess around with springs and other things. my spyder runs fine with stock internals that i polished, took the venturi out and changed the springs.

What do you mean springs, what did you do to make it work?

you should get a spyder spring kit, it'll have different valve and main springs so you can adjust how far and how long the valve opens by swapping springs. This is to get your velocity back up when the pressure from the tank changes, usually from temperature but in this case just from the regulator.

edit: one more thing, you should have a spring kit even if you dont' get the regulator, they're just viciously useful to have, i always end up loaning out my springs.. and losing them.. bleh

Ok, like is a 32* spring kit good?

Do you suggest a stronger spring w/ LP?

yeah, the 32* kit is alright. If you find you need to raise velocity you can either use a stronger main spring and/or use a weaker valve spring. Obviously you should have a chrono nearby so you can check it when you've changed something
Other strategies are polishing the internals, removing the venturi (or getting a new bolt), replacing the valve entirely, replacing the VA.
