cleaning inline reg

i got a cocker about a month ago and today i took the inline reg off to clean it and it was very dirty and had some rust build up in it, i got it all out and its alot cleaner my question is will that increase the performance of my regulator?

i would say yes. if something is coverd in dirt/rust it usally doesn't perform at 100% try it and see if you are gettin more shots outta your tank than you normally would.
