Scuba Tanks?

I think there is some way you can fill up a scuba tank with C02 and take it to a field or somthing and relfill you tank all day long... does anyone know how to do this?

buy a scuba tank
buy a fill station
fill with c02
fill you stuff.

its really ment for those woodsballers who play in there own woods. if you play speedball near a shop, just fill there, scuba tanks aren't cheap. they run 40-400 and for a good fill station prolly 100 (idk)
hope this helped!

just pick up a 20lb not OZ. CO2 tank with a sysphon installed. it would be cheaper than a scuba tank.

Yep. I bought a 25LBer for around $60 at a local hardware store and they do a cylinder swap for a full one for $12. That's roughly 20-30 fills depending on tank size and temp.

sweet that would be fun to have thta in your base....that way as long as you have enough paintballs you cna go crazy and trigger happy and not worry about running out of CO2 or HPA or N2...sweet....

Scuba tanks are for compressed air not Co2. They don't make fill stations for scuba tanks that fill Co2 anyways.

well you could use the scuba tanks for HPA or N2...I mean HPA is like the same thing they put in scuba tanks anyway...

You cant leave the fill station hooked up to your tank...especially with co2.

Even though they are rated for higher pressures their not designed to hold liquid. I don't know what potential problems could arise from it but it's not recommended.

High pressure air is compressed air

True, if you even tried you'd be forever retarded.

If it is a SCUBA TANK it is not for CO2.

I'm sorry, but you can't use a scuba tank to fill CO2. Scuba tanks are for compressed gases, not compressed liquids. You can just buy a 20 pound CO2 tank and buy a fill station and fill your tanks from there.

Fill stations will run you about $100.

Is there a regulator on the scuba tank? If so it won't work as part of a fill station because they're usually not designed to handle liquid. Even if that one is it will be much more likely to feed gas CO2 instead of the liquid. CO2 bottles need liquid for a proper fill. I'm pretty sure non-regulated HPA tanks don't have compatible threading to screw into the standard ASA on a fill station. You might be able to get an adapter if you want to risk it but I don't think it's a good idea. Like Warpstoner said buying a tank designed for CO2 is probably your best bet.

id go with the like 20lb or 25lb tanks to refill your smaller ones...lets say you use a 16oz CO2 tank....you can get 25 fills or so with a 25lb tank...it's worth it...my friend can make his 9oz. tank last him 3 or 4 25 or 30 minute games before refilling it...so the best thing to do would be to get like a 25lb CO2 tank to fill your smaller ones...

ok physicly it can hold CO2 but legially it cant. if it is a scuba tank the DOT codes stamped on it will justify that. any one that would fill a scuba tank with CO2 runs a big risk of loosing their license and a big fine.
second. in order to get CO2 to come out in a liquid state from a scuba tank the reg will need to be removed and fitted with a valve, if it can even be done. then you still have to get a CO2 fill station and scales.
you have 3 options either get a scuba tank adaptor and a HPA tank and start using HPA for your air source OR get a 20lb CO2 bulk tank, fill station, and some good scales and use CO2. or the last option leave it up to someone that knows what they are doing!

Ok yes it can] hold CO2, but it's not made for it. You really have no idea what your talking about.

Like the others said scuba tanks have a built in reg. CO2 cylinders have a valve. All CO2 filling stations are made for valves, not regs. It's a very simple concept, you just can't use scuba tanks to fill your CO2 tanks.
