adjusting veloc. on markers w/ inline regs:

ok, apparently alot of tech's and airsmiths have been telling people with regs on their markers that you adjust the velocity by the reg's output pressure; AHHH!!!!!! that is the #1 way to make you marker have terrible effency and velocity probs. You adjust the velocity through the markers velociy adjuster, NOT THE REG!!!
if you are having velocity probs, put the adjuster screw near to all the way out (lower velocity) and slowly increase the pressure(keep shooting while you do this) until you get good velocity.
tell every1 who thinks the opposite that they're wrong!
thank for the time

That is true in most cases however there are a couple exceptions. On my Chaos gx-4, adjusting velocity through the IVG (internal velocity gauge) is strongly cautioned. ANS suggests the only way to safely adjust the velocity through their markers is by the inlines output pressure.

nope- I assume they mean going crazy on it like turning it in all the way. If your in-line pressure is either too low or too high, most people just compensate by cranking in the velocity adjuster, which if your pressure is too low, the hammer opens the valve way too far, and not letting enough air through(because there wasn't enough in the valve to start with). Also, with the v/a cranked in, there is more force pushing against the back block-against the cocking rod so you need a higher LPR pressure to make this work.

See^^ all the stuff you may have to do if your inline reg isn't set right?

Yessss it's a little tougher and more time consuming to pull the cocking rod on my cocker, but it keeps my reg sweetspotted so I get the best possible efficiency... I won't touch my inline
