Working on Air system Resource.

Air options.
Co2.

Styles of Tanks:
Co2 tanks come in a variety of styles from 9oz-20oz tanks. Although, with some minor work from an airsmith you can get a co2 tank to suit your needs at any size, i've seen them as big as 24oz's. The size of the tank dictates, really, how much you can shoot before having to get a refill, now getting a bigger tank is advisable because it saves you money over the long haul, however, there are ways to save even more money, but i'll mention those later.
Valves:
Valves are what connects the tank to your gun, and allows it to hold, and allow the air to travel. These come with options like on/off, gauges, and various other trinkets.

Renting, vrs Refills:
Renting your own Co2 tank, like the large style scuba tanks for Co2, you can actually save money in the long run. Depending mostly on the prices in your area to do this. Costs vary, but if you sell a lil on the side (*Disclaimer warning* Don't do this unless your a licensed Airsmith or certified to do so in your area.) Selling the air for $3, or even $2.50, for refill will pay for the tanks refills, with some extra on the side, again all this depends on prices in your area. Now, some fields won't allow you to do this, infact make sure its okay with your field to even BRING something like this with you.

Acessories:
Anti-Syphon: This is a tube that is inside the tank, that curves upwards. the top of the tank, to prevent liquid Co2 that sits on the bottom of your tank from siphoning into your marker, which causes seal problems in the long run. - Info by CoolHipJim56
Remote Lines: these fit on your tank, and allow you to strap it to your harness. These have a mount which fits onto the bottomline, or where the Co2 normally mounts, from there you have a clip that fashions onto the clip.
Macro lines: These are often what found on Bottomlines.
Drop forwards: These position your tank for comfort/balance.
Gauges: These tell you how much gas you have in your tank.

HP/Nitro:
Coming soon as I Get more info. Feel free to add.

Add to it. Lets try for something constructive this time, instead of flamers. Stupid flamers.

Thumbs up

Just add that the anti siphon is a tube that is inside the tank, that curves up twords the top of the tank, to prevent liquid Co2 that sits on the bottom of your tank from siphoning into your marker, which causes seal problems in the long run.

Alright. Should get some more info on Nitro/HP though I've only messed with it once, and stuff like that so I don't know. Pretty much all I do know on HP is that its cheapest when you buy the scuba's and the refills and pay for refills on the scubas. Air is something thats really tricky, and can cost you a lot of money, but it has a lot of sneaky ways around it to save yourself cash in the long run. Though, Air's probably the only thing you can do that with, isn't it?
And, I'll add what you just mentioned Cool.
