Anti Syphon install ... question.

1st off I am getting it done at my shop so this isn't a "how do I do it myself" thread.

I brought my tanks in to get them fitted with anti siphons (20oz, and a 12oz)

I drop them on the desk and say I need to have these fitted with anti siphons ... guy looks at me and goes "do you have your marker with you?"

me - "nope"

him - "we need the marker as well to set the tank(s) to the gun."

So why is that? I though it was just a simple task of putting a tube down to the bottom of the tank so it doesn't siphon liquid CO2 out during a game.

Why does he need my gun lol? My gun is up at my parents place and I can't get to it any time soon so I am kinda pissed.

THey have to look at where the tank ends up when they are on the marker. That way the anti-siphon is always above the liquid level of the tank.

You should feel lucky, a lot of shops up here refuse to put on anti siphons.

Just a friendly reminder.... Bypassing the swear filter such as you have done is against the rules of PbF. You may want to edit your post before the D-bomb comes and gives you -1 rep...

the reason they need ur gun is bc they take the valve and screw it into your gun, that way the Anti-syphon will work by not sucking in liquid Co2

Correct Anti-syphon

Red = anti-syphon tube Blue = CO2 liqid

As you can see, When installed correctly (you must bring your gun in so they can fit the valve to your gun) the Tube will allow the vlave to only suck up the Gas CO2 inside the tank, and no Liquid gets in the tube

Incorrect Anti-Syphon

As you can see, If you didn't bring ur gun to them when they install it, The tube might be fitten wrong, and will become a syphon tube (only sucks up the liquid) which you totaly messed up your shiznite

Hope this helps... took me like 15 min draw those pictures w/ my ghetto Paint skillz
