Pure Energy Problem

I've got a 20oz PE Co2 tank that I was using the other day to test out a new barrel. I screwed it into the gun and fired it a few times, ok. I took it off, it did it's usually spill of Co2 while I was taking it off. I went to put it back on, and I noticed that when I screwed it in all the way untill it was tight, you could hear the hiss of a leak from somewhere inside the adaptor thing (where the tank screws in- this is a stock tippmann 98). I then started to take it off, and I figure out it didnt leak when it wasn't tightened all the way. Then I went to test my theory and started to screw it in again, twice. The first time it leaked right from the threading of the adaptor itself where you could see the Co2 bursting out from where the tank's valve was. The second time, I tightened it all the way, it was fine. What should I do with it?

Replace your tank O-ring, that's most likley the cause, Especialyl when you constantly screw and unscrew it, That makes alot of CO2 become in contact w/ the O-ring making it freeze up and crack and stuff.

They cost about $.25 - $.50 at a pro shop, or you can order in bulk (10-50 count packages) from online pball stores.

Boom. Bunkers got it. To prevent that, you can cock your marker and while you unscrew, dry fire. That way your giving the air the option to go the way its supposed to instead of out the back. YOur gun will just sputter.

but the only problem you run w/ that is some people do not undertsnad common Pball safty. When you do that, put the barrel bag on, and point it eiather down range in a chrono area, or straight up in an area w/ no ppl around.

NEVER SHOOT YOUR GUN, even if it's dryfiring, AROUND PEOPLE!!!
