That is true that they are using centerflag regs. But from what I understand they are buying factory second tanks. Now this can be good or bad depending on whatever defect made the tank not pass quality control -- could be paint chip, could be an defect found on x-ray that did not meet the original manufacturer's specs. If you want to play that game, go ahead. But putting a decent reg on an iffy tank, and then having a cartoon sticker (that sometimes actually comes folded in the box and not affixed to the tank at all) does not a good product make.
Now.. In terms of thier customer service.. I can only tell you my experience.
I bought a pod pack from them off ebay. The picture that they linked to in the auction showed a back support. After I won the auction, they changed the picture that they linked to -- and what do you know... no back support. I wrote them an e-mail using the standard "ask seller a question" link and they sent back an e-mail with a link to thier "customer service server." I entered a "work order" in their customer service server stating I wanted the back support... well they got back to me stating there was no such thing in the auction. In fact they were quite beligerent about it, calling me a liar, and asking that if I knew what "obligation" meant, and what "contract" means...
so I sent them an e-mail asking them if they knew what "fraud" and "bait and switch" meant and told them I wanted my money back. Well this really set them off. They would not accept a return unless the product was defective, said they at 3a, and how dare I, a mere kid (im 37) dare accuse them of fraud.
So basically I said "screw it, its an ok pack, I'll use it "(oh BTW I bought a 4+ and they sent a 6+) and just leave a NEUTRAL feedback on e-bay as I was pissed off at the whole thing.
Next thing I know I get like 4 e-mails from them stating how dare I post negative feedback and if I didn't follow thier feedback link to remove it, that I would get negative feedback in return.. blah... blah...blah...
So I go to check my feedback.. and I have this big fat NEGATIVE feedback entry lamenting that "If I had only contacted them before posting feedback, they would have made it right." Well as you know, I did contact them.. and this is my reward.
So now I am really mad. I write Ebay to complain... Well you remember that I entered my concerns into 3a's customer service server. What this did, was to take the process away from e-bay, and conviently also limit the amount of documentation that e-bay gets to see. So unfortunately E-bay's response was that there was no docementation of a problem and that 3a was not at fault. They did note that 3a was linking pictures instead of posting them, so they got yelled at for taht.
So... to make a long story short -- 3a is the used car dealer of the paintball industry who's motto should be "once the check clears... you are on your own."
Buy at your own risk....
