3A Products!!

I'm really hoping a mod sees this and this gets stickied because I see this question about every day:

Does 3A make good Tanks?

The answer is, NO. 3A is a very bad company to do business with. First of all, their products are not good whatsoever. If you get a 3A tank, you will probably have alot of inconsistancies, and I doubt that they are safe whatsoever. Now...I'm not just bashing 3A because of what I hear. My friend had a 3A rigged up to his Autococker he had gotten not too long ago. He went ahead and bought a 68ci45000psi off of ebay. He was dissapointed when he was getting innacurate readings, so he had me take a look at it. The first thing I saw was the half naked anime on the tank and I just shook my head. He didnt wanna believe that his tank was crap just because he paid 180 for it, so to prove it to him, I stuck my worr gass on his marker. Sure enough he went from +-15 to +- 5.

Next, if a 3a tank were to crap out on you, chances are that the company will just turn their heads the other way and not even want to deal with you. Customer service = 0. Basically the way they see it is once you buy it, its your problem. Warranty isnt a word in their dictionary.

Trust me...when was the last time you saw any 3A product on any major paintball website? Never. Why do you think they sell all thier crap on ebay? I mean really...type in paintball in a search on ebay and I guarantee you that 3a is the first thing you see. Its because all stores know that they are garbage and dont deal with them. Also, they try to lure noobs in with their naked anime chicks posing on the tanks, so when you see it your like "hey i want it cuz its got a naked lady on it."

You can probably get a crossfire or a centerflag for maybe 5$ more. So come on, spend a little more and get a lot better performance. Paintball is not a sport you can afford to be cheap with....DONT BUY 3A!

But from what I hear newer 3a tanks are using Centerflag regs.

But for a few bucks more you can get a Centerflag, Crossfire, or Worrgas tank... So.... Down with 3a!

That is true that they are using centerflag regs. But from what I understand they are buying factory second tanks. Now this can be good or bad depending on whatever defect made the tank not pass quality control -- could be paint chip, could be an defect found on x-ray that did not meet the original manufacturer's specs. If you want to play that game, go ahead. But putting a decent reg on an iffy tank, and then having a cartoon sticker (that sometimes actually comes folded in the box and not affixed to the tank at all) does not a good product make.

Now.. In terms of thier customer service.. I can only tell you my experience.
I bought a pod pack from them off ebay. The picture that they linked to in the auction showed a back support. After I won the auction, they changed the picture that they linked to -- and what do you know... no back support. I wrote them an e-mail using the standard "ask seller a question" link and they sent back an e-mail with a link to thier "customer service server." I entered a "work order" in their customer service server stating I wanted the back support... well they got back to me stating there was no such thing in the auction. In fact they were quite beligerent about it, calling me a liar, and asking that if I knew what "obligation" meant, and what "contract" means...

so I sent them an e-mail asking them if they knew what "fraud" and "bait and switch" meant and told them I wanted my money back. Well this really set them off. They would not accept a return unless the product was defective, said they at 3a, and how dare I, a mere kid (im 37) dare accuse them of fraud.

So basically I said "screw it, its an ok pack, I'll use it "(oh BTW I bought a 4+ and they sent a 6+) and just leave a NEUTRAL feedback on e-bay as I was pissed off at the whole thing.

Next thing I know I get like 4 e-mails from them stating how dare I post negative feedback and if I didn't follow thier feedback link to remove it, that I would get negative feedback in return.. blah... blah...blah...

So I go to check my feedback.. and I have this big fat NEGATIVE feedback entry lamenting that "If I had only contacted them before posting feedback, they would have made it right." Well as you know, I did contact them.. and this is my reward.

So now I am really mad. I write Ebay to complain... Well you remember that I entered my concerns into 3a's customer service server. What this did, was to take the process away from e-bay, and conviently also limit the amount of documentation that e-bay gets to see. So unfortunately E-bay's response was that there was no docementation of a problem and that 3a was not at fault. They did note that 3a was linking pictures instead of posting them, so they got yelled at for taht.

So... to make a long story short -- 3a is the used car dealer of the paintball industry who's motto should be "once the check clears... you are on your own."

Buy at your own risk....

Yea seriously, buy things that will hold 4500psi in it and not explode. If it comes off thats a big blunt object going faster than the balls it shoots. Crossfire, worrgas, centerflag, are all good. If you can buy the tank of xpaintball then its good.
