butter for oil

has anyone tried this? How they say that you should oil up when you put your tank on, oiling the threads, can i do this with butter? If i have butter that is in the fridge, and swipe it around about once or twice, will this work if you dont have oil? Its a crazy Q but why not! and also, can you use olive oil for lubing up your gun? lol thanks a lot!

I duno when butter gets cold it turns more solid. If you're using co2, then it'll probably turn solid and screw with performance.

i am using HPA and that wont get cold, but if i run it aroudn the threads just once, which is a very small coat against the threads, it shouldn't do to much would it? And what about olive oil? could i use that for a lubricant

I started a similar discussion before the hack job on PBF and I think the general consensus was that butter and vegatable oil goes into a rancid state over time, probably because of the saturated fat content. It's best to stick with the specific oils for lubrication which are purer.

What would happen if your poured melted wax into your sa and screw it in? It will harden. Butter and Vegetable oil WILL mess with your markers. Are you really that lazy to go out and get some real marker oil?

Also butter and vegetable oil don't seal and lubricate things, so it would be useless. The oil we use is used so that it creates a seal, when you use it with o rings it does a damn good job sealing. Just use regular paintball oil, thats what I use and I'm not having a problem with it.
