is the electric pump that comes with them battery operated? if not, is there any other way to fill them?

It's plug-in electric. You could probably find another pump, or a weak leaf blower.

Every field I've been to uses leafblowers. Easy and probably won't take as long as a battery operated pump.

The pump's do use electrical cord's. They dont take that long to fill them, but a leaf blower would definitely be better. If you dont have one of those, just find a colmen air matress pump. Their like 20 brand new from wal-mart and they work faster than the pump that come's with them.
